Dreamstarter aims to help launch, grow and scale start-up for-purpose enterprises through funding and capacity building.

ING Direct has partnered with SEFA Partnerships to deliver Dreamstarter capacity building with the vision of working together to support the growth and impact of purpose-led business in Australia.

Increase your business knowledge and capabilities with educational program training. With the financial support of a Dreamstarter Scholarship, you can focus on up skilling your business know-how to help you better run a successful social business.

Dreamstarter is looking for change makers working on an early-stage business that will create positive social impact through trade of a product or service. We know that growing a dream into a sustainable and impactful business requires passion and dedication but also knowledge and skills that you may not yet possess. Changing the world is no easy feat.

Dreamstarter Scholarships exist to support you on that journey by providing the funding you need to participate in learning programs that provide the skills, knowledge and networks for you to develop or grow your social business.

We know it can be challenging to know where to look for practical learning support when you are just starting out so, if you are an early stage start-up social business and you need help getting off the ground, head to our recommended learning providers pages and apply for a Dreamstarter Scholarships supported place today.

Dreamstarter uses the power of crowdfunding to get bold social change projects off the ground.

Dreamstarter wants to support for-purpose businesses with big ideas for social products that create positive change in our community.

Dreamstarter is powered by StartSomeGood, a crowdfunding platform for social good. The StartSomeGood platform allows for-purpose ventures, social entrepreneurs, not-for-profits and causes to raise funds and grow the community of supporters they need to make a difference.

Candidates leverage their supporter network to raise small amounts of money from a large number of people who then amplify the message by sharing with their networks via social media. Crowdfunding isn't just seeking donations however.  Supporters also get rewards from the Dreamstarter Crowdfunding project in return. And the icing on the cake? ING will dollar match up to 50% of the tipping point of successful projects!

Grants for Growth by ING is a unique small grants program designed to empower Dreamstarter Alumni (successful Crowdfunders) with the necessary funding needed to capitalise on opportunities or undertake activity to accelerate organisational growth and impact.

Because we understand that opportunities don't always appear at a time when grant applications are open, we have created an ‘always open’ program so that you can apply when it suits you.

When assessing applications for Dreamstarter Grants for Growth, we are looking for evidence of how the requested funds and activity will allow your social enterprise to ‘get ahead’ and capitalise on an opportunity as well as evidence of the social impact that will be enabled by the grant.

If you are seeking funding for a number of activities, please be aware that you will need to submit a separate application for each activity, even if they are interrelated. Applications are anticipated to be for between $5000 and $15,000. Applications above this value will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

We recommend you speak with Hannah Miller prior to submitting your application. Hannah can be reached at hannah.miller@sefapartnerhsips.org.au or on 02 8199 3366.
